Initially grown for its rootbark, a popular traditional medicine to invigorate the body, it was later developed for its beauty. It’s little wonder– the tree peony’s majestic large pink to white blooms are unrivalled, and its plant can live for more than 50 years.
What it does | Paeonol, a compound derived from the moutan peony rootbark, inhibits the enzyme activity that causes pigment to form and rise to the skin’s surface from UV exposure, keeping skin even-toned and bright.
